This latest desktop we bought has one of those quad-cores systems ...the guy said with Vista we might need it...and it does "multi-task" very nice and smooth.

I bought an Acer not long ago--so far no problems. I bought it to relace a DELL which was definitely an expensive lemon.

Vista take about 1 GB to run it. I'm thinking about a Toshiba.

Had a Toshiba laptop since fall 07. Not too thrilled with Vista, but the machine itself is fine. I'd recommend springing for at least 2 GB of RAM. Vista seems to really suck up the memory. Bought it because it was the most machine I could find for money...Office Depot in Hickory

We've had it about 7-9 months I'm guessing...bought it from Staples...good picture. Not as "shiny" as some I've seen but very clear and large.

I have an Acer large screen for my computer and it's really nice...great picture. Don't know about actual computer drive itself...

Pretty new, she got it at Christmas from my mom and my uncle. He bought it right before Christmas. I think it was from Best Buy or Circuit City but don't know for sure.

I had laptops for the last 12years, since I travel a lot. I have taken mine all over the world and used them daily. The last 3 were toshiba and I would not by anything else. I had the best experience with them
