A question about AOL Instant Messenger

When I was on AOL it would do that to me, I always figured it was them.

Ok I did what whitehawk told me to do, thank you for the advice. Living, thanks for the reminder of changeing my password as well I will do that now. Thanks again all

This has happened to me before also. I couldn't sign in due to my sn being logged on at another computer. It was someone that I knew who had my password. Change your password asap.

Ok I logged off of the aim, since I am on cable modem do I just unplug the modem and then restart it ?

Log off without doing anything. If machine is hung up, disconnect telephone line from computer then shut down. You can plug phone back in and restart computer. This is the easiest way to rid this without going around your elbow to get to your thumb.

Sounds like someone else is signing in on another computer using your screen name. This can happen if they have your password.

A few minutes ago an instant message came up from AOL System Msg states.. Your screen name (with my screen name here) has signed in from another location. This screen name is currently signed in at 2 locations. To sign off the other location (s), reply to this message with the number 1. Click here for more information.
My question is does anyone know if this is real or a scam to get you to click on it, and then it cause all kinds of trouble. I haven't clicked on it for fear that it may hold a virus or trying to get info on me or what. I am not sure where to go to contact AIM to see if it is real either.
