Robinson didn’t look so strong against that Trojan defense in the BRYFL playoff game last year so if he can’t handle them then how is he gonna compete on the varsity level!!! It’s simple he want compete he will look like a fool!!

JoRaye is the best offensive player in the conference. If he stays injury free he will score 70 plus touchdowns in his career.

I don't claim to know who "westside hawks" is but he's correct that Elkin is going to be very good, definitely the next two seasons after this, but pretty darn good this season.

State titles? Who knows there will be a few programs across the state that'll have something to say about that.

They very well could win one, possibly even two championships. Or they could just go deep into the playoffs....

"West Side Hawks" your not very clever at concealing the fact your a parent of one of the "best two players" to leave west and go to elkin. You been courting the parents of the elkin twins forever. Glad you got in bed with the partner you wanted.

C-Dub does he desire any shine at all or just Joraye? I mean come on man. Central can't go nowhere in the playoffs or regular season with #20. I wish them all success and a championship season. Play together Eagles be good teammates to each other and you guys will be more than these chumps rate you. Good luck and do y'all on Friday nights. Topflight u really are an idiot. Big hatr !

Topflight..... I wish you were as smart as you thought. Mr Expert of high school talent. Heck I can't deny Joraye's talent but my Lord. Brother I am just saying that u don't know yo tail from a hole in the ground when it comes to rating local talent. Ev1 knows this. Big hater

Anyone that thinks Joraye isn’t that good is being foolish. He had 12 TDS as a freshman playing behind the MVC POY that included over 200 yards rushing in the playoffs as a freshman. He’s a great kid who works hard. He isn’t being overrated. He’s earning his worth.

BTW stingray these are all the coaches in the cinference that picked him pre season player of the year. Since i know so much, you'll notice i called that out before the Northwest Highschool publication came out. Stick with me bud, you'll learn more instead of being a lil hater. LoL.

Why did he get pre season conference player of the year for the MVAC conference this year, Mr. Hater? You're probably a bench warmer sitting way behind them in the rotation. I'm no kin to him. I just know talent when i see it. So do others...you're one of the dummies that don't. Sorry, hi hater.

topflight7784 I don't agree with any of your talk. I think you are probably Joraye's cousin or uncle ? He is not all that bud. Too many fumbles and many touches if you ask me. Diamonds in the rough this year at Central Mr. Know everything hs football , lol

Bottom line i guess it's the type of potential athlete that your area has due to demographics as well. I mean let's face Shelby is 2a and probably has less kids than WC but due to the make up of their area demograohically WC or no anyother team in our conference will ever compete with them in football.

Yeah i guess you're right JerryCurls. I mean Starmount whipped you guy's *** for years with 2 or 3 hundred less students. LOL. Well played.

East Wilkes should beat Elkin every year but they don’t and rarely did up until a couple years ago.

Sportsfan, It's all of the things that JerryCurls said. Honestly why shouldn't WC or Ashe win the conference every year. They have 3 or 400 more kids than all of the 1a schools in their conference.

WC returns all conference QB and all conference WR in addition to Joraye. Also another WR with all conference potential who will have a big year this season. 3 OL return and 7 starters on defense. In addition they bring up some good athletes from a jv team that went toe to toe with Elkin last season despite many underclassmen on varsity l.

Topflight you sure are placing this kid HIGH up on a pedestal. If he is the one to stop, than I would expect he will be the main target and that could hinder him somewhat. One kid cannot carry a football team- what else does WC have to offer to mark them Conference Champs so soon? I do agree they usually have a great number of athletes on their rooster, but thus far this kid is the only one I have heard about.

No offensive player in the conference better than him. He will get 200+ carries and a bunch of yards..kinda of like the kid from north wilkes last year.

Central should win conference but to say Joraye will be offensive player of the year. That won't happen. There are to many upperclassman in the conference that will get that. Joraye is a good player but has not improved much in the past two years. My honest opinion is he is as good as he's going to get. Hope I'm wrong. The boy is the same size he was in 7th grade. He truly needs to grow more to get to the next level. He already looks matured like a senior.

Robinson is a great talent no question adoubt it, but one person does not make a team. Robbinson is talented enough to a point where he will be a difference maker on any team he plays for. He will effect the varsity level a great deal as a Freshman. The Bucking Elks will have to play sophomores up on the varsity level this season. The Beaver Boys will be a key to the Elks Defense. I agree with Top Flight Elkin will win a State Championship in about 2 Years.
Hey East Wilkes has one more great opportunity to make a run at the State Championship this season and next season. This season Garrett Vernon, Agular, and Ross will key players on both sides of the football. No doubt they will be looking to avenge their loss to Elkin last season. East Wilkes has Middle School that is very talented, I heard they have team that will be interesting to Watch.

1. WC 2. EW 3. Elkin 4.Starmount 5. Ashe County 6. N.Wilkes 7.W.Wilkes 8. Alleghany....
Picks 2-5 could go either way honestly...lot of personnel and coaching changes and how those changes/losses are managed will have a huge outcome on the upcoming season..Offensive Player of the year WC'sJoRay Morrison....Defensive player of the year EW's Jayveon Ross.
