But, LeBron....who recruited those "players".

That's right, K-Rat.

I have 1 buck on UConn and Okie; you guys get the field boys.

The only reason Duke is actually more than decent is bc of Coach K. They only have two players worth anything and that's Henderson and Singler. I have no idea how Nolan played at Oak Hill and Paulus should've stuck to football. Brian Zuback is a pitiful excuse for a 7'1" player and Jon Scheyer can maybe bench press the bar for his warm up set. David McClure is a pretty boy and Lanch Thomas is what 6'9"? He's dunked or posted someone maybe 5 or 10 times in his career. Coach K must be one heck of a coach to have this good of a record with these clowns. UNC could at least be the OKC Thunder, Bobcats, and probably a few other NBA teams like that. lol.

Personally, ICULook, I've not seen much of a contribution from you in the way of sports knowledge, so if you don't like what you see, then don't read and feel free to move along elsewhere.

So to clarify, Grrr, you have Oklahoma, and UConn? PM me to activate this....

Actually, I'll take that bet, too, Grrr.

Let's see the money.

If UNC hits from outside and gets to the freethrow line, Carolina by 12. Plus, if UNC scores over 80, I can't see Duke winning. Their offense has just been poor for long stretches of every recent game except for Maryland. Comes down somewhat to UNC defense and scoring in transition. Need to press the heck out of Duke all game.

Nice win, they got lucky and won in Overtime AT home vs a team that is 4-6 in conference now.A team that got a lucky win vs a young team in Wake, but lost in OT now to Duke, NCST, and VT. Lost to clemson and UNC by over 15 points.
Yes duke fans..way to go!

Heel, no yard work for me at nine o'clock at night. LOL, but I did watch most of the first half and knew it was over before halftime so I went to bed!!

Not to change the subject but Wake got their butt kicked at Miami last night. That was more of a surprise for me.

I'll take UConn and Okie and give you guys the field (including Carolina). The loss of Ginyard is a death knell to the UNC title hopes. No one else on the roster gives a rats tuckus about D.

Suspending Will Graves for the duration of the season hasn't helped Carolina's cause, either.

Freshmen, are, well...freshmen. I'm very satisfied with the way Ed Davis is coming along, but Drew needs to get 14 minutes a game, and some of that may very well need to come at the "2".

I've heard rumblings about Zeller returning this year. I think if he is medically cleared and can return by the end of the month, he will do so.

Want to discuss talent and athleticism? Wake has a good amount of it, but just wait till you see what the Heels have rollin' in next year. A lot will be feshmen, but the athleticism will equal the Stackhouse/Wallace and Carter/Jamison prototypes.

Want to beat dook? Press them for 40 minutes.

Frankly, being one of Carolina's best defenders this year isn't reason to brag. I also agree that this year Frasor is slow on offense and defense. When Frasor and Thompson are in the game together for long periods, UNC suffers defensively. It would help if Davis could continue to rebound without fouling so much and missing easy shots, and if Drew II could keep from turning the ball over. The freshmen seem to have been shellshocked entering their first ACC season. They will eventually be great, but this could be that special team if everyone could stay motivated and focused. Tyler is still great, but he doesn't seem to have that same "madman" look lately that he has had in the past. People are talking too much about him breaking the scoring records. He just needs to play his game and it will come. He's carrying Thompson's load and it is wearing him thin. The ACC officials are more inconsistent inside/outside this year than I have seen in my 40 years of watching. I think there is also more than meets the eye in terms of team chemistry this year. Green and Thompson obviously hate each other, and Thompson just gets in the way now. Get some fire and play ball. Lawson is fantastic, but seems to doubt himself in some big games. He's a different player when his shots are falling earlier to give him confidence. Not to mention, the outside shot gives him more room to drive inside where he is the best. I really don't see UNC, Duke, or Wake running the table for 6 straight games in the tournament. Defense wins half or more of tournament games. UNC has a ways to go on defense. Duke just doesn't have the presence inside and the offense is inconsistent. Wake has the talent, but the talent is young and inexperienced. Maybe the last 2 losses will wake them up. There is still time for all three to get on a better track. It is just one of those years where anyone can sneak in there. Lots of athletic talent out there. The team that motivates and controls the talent the best will take it. In my opinion, Roy Williams, just has not found a way to motivate this team just yet. But it could still be done if a couple more step up to the challenge.

Bobby Frasor "was" one of UNC's best defensive players before his injury. I used to like him very much. He stinks this year. Watch what kind of game his match-up has each game this year. He just doesn't have that quick reaction like he used to. Ever noticed how many dumb fouls he commits because he lets his man get by him? In his defense though he wasn't supposed to be in this role all year. Ginyard was supposed to be back. The injuries have thrown Roy this year, I guess. Someone has to step up in the Ginyard role. Roy wants badly for Frasor to be that person, but he just doesn't have it. Thompson seems to be a hard player to motivate. I guess that is why Green stays on his butt all the time. They would be the team they were at the beginning of the year if Thompson could open the middle up by being more of a scoring and rebound threat again. Teams can collapse inside on Tyler because he's the only UNC bigman threat. Also with the outside shots falling consistently like the last 2 games, things open up inside a little more also. Perimeter shots weren't going in as much in December and early January. Green, of course, has been consistent, but with Ellington and Lawson scoring outside the inside is much easier to manuever.
