Duke or UNC

UNC has talent, but they have chemistry and intensity issues I believe. I am a State fan, and they beat State , and I may be biased, but I felt after that games result was more an indictment of what State did not do versus what UNC did. Both teams only had 10 turnovers, so defense wasn't great by either team. State's Horner and Wood, both continually missed un-contested 3 point shots going on an 11 minute scoring drought. Gminski, commented on their improved D but I really did not see that.

Last night was just another showing that we do have good players on our team, and could be a decent team but won't come together as one and play with some confidence.

LATE in the 2nd half, we made a run that showed some confidence in our ability, with Drew knocking down some shots and Graves doing the same, and Thompson has shown signs of life, how very small they may be..he is actually alive out there.

I cant chalk it up to Roy's good or bad coaching, it just seems that they boys sometimes play like they care and want to win, and sometimes are just out there to be there.

Leadership would go along long way, and there isn't anyone willing to step up and be that leader.

You Duke fans are all the same. When you lose you wanna cry that it's the refs fault. It's the refs fault that the Hoyas were unstoppable and shot 71% from the field. It's the refs fault that 29 of the 62 shots Duke took were from 3 making only 9 of them. The fouls totals were 28-22 with several of those coming when the game was well within hand. Face if that game could have been played on any floor in the country with any refs and the results would have been the same. And BTW what does Obama being there have to do with anything and can't believe you'd pull out the race card??? Just another "classy" Duke fan lol

ballshogg, could you tell me where the tarholes are ranked? I know they aren't in the top 25 so suck on that for a while. And like Yanks said the Hoyas shot 71%, and the Hoyas are all black players with a black head coach, not to mention obama was at the game! Gtown yesterday coulda beat some NBA teams with all the shots they hit and it didn't hurt to get all the foul calls in their favor! Duke could look at them wrong and the whistle would have blowed. It was a poor called game from the start and when they mentioned obama was present, I knew right then they was in trouble! I will say Duke had a bad day, their shooting was off and they couldnt rebound plus they couldn't stop the Hoyas from driving the lane, but the ones who watched the game know what I'm talking about when I say the game was over before it started!!!

Duke allowed them to shoot 71%, they didnt do it alone but l think most would have picked the Hoya's over Duke in that matchup..The size of the BIG East teams is going to cripple alot of teams this year.

I watched most of the first half and they showed a shot of coach k and I could read his lips, he said "This is a disgrace"

It's Obama's fault...he jinxed the devils.

Anyone who makes the Doherty comments doesn't understand at all what a problem he was as coach. He had half the team ready to transfer and was a complete donkey communicating with the players, their parents, the students, and the alumni. Phil Ford put those teams together. You give Doherty way too much credit. He was a crappy Wall Street guy, and he was a crappy head coach at that time too. I was around him as a student at UNC also, and he was crappy on campus too. Who knows what he could be now? Doherty was only there because UNC's first SEVERAL choices turned them down. Roy Williams was best friends with the AD at Kansas and felt like he owed it to him to stay at Kansas longer. Otherwise, Roy Williams' dream job was always UNC.

UNCHEELYEAH

If winning isn't ultimate to UNC why was Doherty fired so quickly.
