It's amazing at how dead this thread gets when carolina is winning :)

Anyone watch last nights game?

If we keep playing this way, and I hope it isnt just a tease, then we're going to be a tough team to beat against anyone in the country. I'm not getting ahead of myself here, but if Barnes keeps playing to his potential, and we keep playing at this level.. an NC isnt that far fetched. With that being said, we are still young and I think that this is a tease for whats to come. We'll finish well this season, but if everyone stays..look out for carolina to make a real NC title run next year. And if kyrie from duke makes a healthy return for next season, look for the NC title to be won by us or duke without a doubt.

Speaking of which, fan or no fan of Unc or Bc, tune in tonight as it should be a great game to watch.

I have it circled on my calendar before the season starts every year :) As well as any other potential intense games against big teams.

True he might be back for the NCAA but i kinda doubt he'll risk it. Right now despite his injury he is projected to go #4 overall by one draft analysis and have still seen him projected #1 by another. I might be wrong but i think he'll rehab and get healthy for the draft camps to show the scouts he's100%. But you never know, time will tell. As much as I hate Dook though, i agree if he comes back Dook will be a VERY hard out in the tourney.

I'll agree with that boss, they are very vulnerable without Irving. But there was alot of people who said they were vulnerable last year too and what happened? I know alot of the big teams where already out, but that happens and no one can change it. I believe they are suppose to take Irving's cast off between now and friday and take a look and see how his toe is healing hopefully it will be alot better in time for the NCAA Tournament and then everybody better watch out if he and the rest of the team is 100%. Either way if it is or not I believe he will be back next year because no NBA team will risk him not knowing if he can play on it for a long team basis.

We'll never know if they'd be unbeaten with Irving or not. What we do know is they're very vulnerable without him. It doesn't look too good for them getting him back either according to Coach K and if he doesnt come back there is no chance of a repeat

Local, if Irving was playing which hopefully he will be in the near future Duke would be undefeated right now and possibly the whole year. That's 17 points a game gone not to mention the steals, assists and fast break chances gone. Their whole offense has had to change since his injury. No one said Duke would go undefeated since he got injured for you're info. I'll admit Duke has relied more on 3's this year than ever and it will cost them if they keep it up. The game Sunday was a joke on both ends, they didn't show up to play, why I have no idea. The previous game against BC was a very well played game on both sides, they went inside to Miles Plumlee and was hitting their jumpers, so I don't have no idea what you are talking about when you say they haven't played a complete game well in a while, all I have to say is wrong. I just wanna know this, where was all you tarheel fans at when GT slapped ya'll around a couple weeks ago? SJ's is a way better team all around than GT is, SJ's has beat 3 ranked teams this year at Madison Square Gardens. What ranked teams have GT beat this year? Unc on the other hand hasn't even played the top teams in the ACC yet, they still haven't played Maryland, BC, Florida State or Duke. See how they do with the top teams in the ACC and then talk.

It's been a while since I've seen Dook play a complete game well. Without Kyrie Irving, they are just so so and totally reliant on the 3 pointers. When they aren't dropping like in the SJ's game and in the halves of other recent games, they are lost and confused. Sure Carolina has had problems playing complete games all year, but they weren't expected to be an undefeated team. Dook was touted in the offseason and through the first couple months as a likely "zero loss" team. I don't really care for Nolan Smith, but he is the only reason they won the Tourney last season and is the only player keeping them above water this season. I give the stinkhead props for that. Very beatable ACC this season. We will be lucky to get 3 teams in the NCAA tourney this season. The Big East may get 11 in. The ACC can only be in "spoiler mode" this season; unfortunately, most of the spoiling will come at the expense of each other. In 40+ years of watching college basketball, I can't remember ever seeing the ACC play so poorly against non-conference opponents. Flame back all you want, but I enjoyed the heck out of watching Dook so out of whack.

No big surprise that all the Dookies are silent huh Yank LOL You're right the final score made it look even closer than it really was. That was a total beat down by St Johns

St Johns? =))

15 was the margin, but anyone who watched it knows it wasn't even that close.
