Local, dont give up on Ginyard yet, l say give him a few more games to get back into ingame speed and then we'll see what he is doing.
A layoff like the one he had is hard to come back from and he has seemed rather sluggish, but hopefully its just rust thats needing to be shaken off.
I would like to see Thompson assert himself a little more, he is a big guy and isnt playing to his size in some situations.
I love his finesse and range for a big guy, but there will be times this year when we need a big dominant presence down low and someone like Cousins from UK at this point will dominate him, unless our help defense with the likes of Davis really shows out.
The thing that impressed me the most last night was stricklands speed.
He looked Lawson fast last night at times.

Agreed, we have the makings of a Very good team with the speed our young guys are coming along at, and come tournament time l think we will be right up there in the discussions with the top teams to win it all.
I see Kansas and Kentucky to be the top teams, as Heel stated, thier backcourt is one of the best, if not the best in the nation and with a front court that includes Cousins,they are tough.

Kentucky is lying in wait. Wall isthe real deal, and with Bledsoe, you give the nod to their backcourt, although Drew and Strickland are improving. I'd give the nod to Carolina's frontcourt, but Patterson and Cousins aren't exactlly chopped liver.

I said earlier I'd be satisfied if we could get one or two out of this murderer's row stretch. After last night, I think we could possibly get all three.

Carolina is a young team that will have inconsistency. Shooting 60% night in and night out ain't gonna happen, but make NO mistake, the message is very clear...

At the end of January this will be a very dangerous team. Next year, we will be flat out sick, but a Final Four appearance this year isn't out of the question.

I'd love to beat Texas at Cowboy Stadium. I have always despised that little pipsqueak Rick Barnes. Hated him at Clemson; hated him at Texas; will hate him at any school. Can't look ahead to Texas yet though. Kentucky this Saturday will be a very tough game. Kentucky's young guys haven't been tested by good team yet, so there's no telling how they'll respond. I think after last night, Carolina's young players will be ready to go.

Only missed freethrows in the second half kept that game closer than it needed to be. The Heels looked really good. The guards proved that they will be able to handle it. I would actually like to see Drew and Strickland play together more. I'm just not feeling Ginyard this year. He's tanking his freethrows, turning the ball over too much, and seems to be a step slower on defense (his specialty) this year. This year will be very good, but next year they won't be touched by anyone. When the new recruit comes in next year, they'll be unstoppable.

Florida is considerably a top 25 team.
The michigan state team we faced tonight is ALOT like the team that made the TITLE game last year, not losing much of thier talent and are considered a top ten team by everyone... and we beat them.

Not really Yanks.. unranked Florida beat Michigan State last week and the tarholes have barely beat the last 2 teams State and Nevada, both at unc! Michigan State is really overated and should have never been ranked #2.. unc and Duke to me both have problems closing teams out, and if that doesn't change then trouble looms on down the road!! They either correct that or neither of them will be a factor come March Madness!

Impressive game tonight in the win vs Michigan State, Tis why l love the early season matchups versus good opponets, test your guys early and often is one of Roy's schemes, and oh how sweet the future is looking.
