It's interesting that UNC fans talk about a young team, but if you will check, KY beat them with mostly freshmen and sophmores. Let's not mention that UNC has 7 McDonalds all Americans.

Not sore at all. We came back from 19 down and almost pulled out a gutsy win against a top team..your team would have lost by 40. Whats to be sore about?

Coming from a state fan, your post means nothing. Coming from an ignorant fan, your post means nothing. Why bother posting?

Yep, it will be fun to watch the heels get dominated by good teams at the end of the season.

We showed shades of very good basketball, but also showed an inability to stop a run with no real go to guy. Deon, got beasted today downlow..that was inexcuseable. Both teams are good, and with the rest of the season for them to both get ready for March, it should be fun to watch them dominate good teams at the end of the season.

Carolina has got to get better from the stripe. That is where most games are won or lost. Todays inefficient free throw shooting cost the Tarheels a win.

ok. let me try this again....
UNC will be scary good in a few months. Right now, you are watching the development of an extremely young backcourt. Drew is improving game by game, as is Strickland. Doesn't mean they will beat Kentucky, doesn't mean they will beat Texas, but I don't think any of that matters right now, except it offers opportunities to grow and learn. That what December is for, to prepare you for February, March and ultimately April.
Roy Williams has never been much of a zone disciple, so its not surprising that we don't practice it, don't practice against it, and teams that are efficient in utlizing it will give us trouble. Jim Boheim of Syracuse utilizes one of the most unique zones in the Match-Up. Wesley Johnson can flat out ball, and if you are a Duke fan, you don't want to see Syracuse, either. They are the type of team that perenially knocks duke out of the tourney in the round of 16.
Syracuse is an experienced team that caught us early. They won't be the last. Again, though, the handwriting is on the wall....this year will be fun, next year we will run teams OUT of the gym.
Good Luck....and Go Heels!!!

This is Dukes BIGGEST team by far in many many years...and its also thier worst inside, post playing team. They will get dominated by anyone with ONE real shooter from the outside and a half way decent inside presence. I agree, l would only take Dawkins from the whole duke lineup..Singler has a high average because Mike plays the team to control the kids, in the same way West Wilkes FB coach controlled the plays to up his sons numbers to get into a college football squad. Singler isnt even the best player on duke, let alone the ACC or the Nation for that matter. If Ed Davis keeps doing what he is doing, look for him to gain some attention for ACC player of the year, or maybe Malcom Delaney from VT..Aminu could put in a decent bid for it from Wake. If coach k would give Dawkins 30 mins a game, he'd take it without a fight.

GT By that theory Duke isn't as good as you think they are then since they was dominated down low by Wisconsin

Sure, why else would he go? Seeing as how he could not get the job done in Kansas.

Does anyone out there believe that Roy Williams went to UNC so he could recruit enough talent to win a national championship?
