Duke 76 Pudue 60. It was another fantastic effort from the Scheyer/Singler combo, with lots of other guys chipping in with various contributions. I was really impressed with the way Duke started the second half -- it was one of those classic, "first five minutes" charges by the team. And they also handled some adversity, playing through foul trouble with Smith and Zoubek.

Just not his teammates so much.

If I asked Steve Smith that he would gladly take it as a compliment...Steve loves the fans!

Go up to, say, Randy Moss and ask that.

Actually I have done that before....I will para-phrase...

One day last year on cool, crisp autum day in Boone, NC I decided to head to "The Library" on campus....at the front door sitting on a bench was Armanti Edwards himself, I had talked to him a couple times before..so seeing him was no bigee, I asked him how he was doing, and how "are we going to be this year"(as in the Appalachian State football team)...he cracked a smile and said We'll see, we will be okay, and gave a head rock....I laughed and said thats "what I want to hear"..

Merely pointing out the logical, rational rules of sports. That is what I am trying to do.

Also, trying to save the look of disdain you will receive from a player on one of your favorite teams when you go up and ask "how we doing?"

I will continue to say "we" as long as I feel, and you're wannabe flame is not going to stop me. We as in Wake Forest won against a top-25 team last night, way to go Deacs..!

"We" is only permissible in one instance:

Students who currently attend a school or have graduated from said, as they are represented by their "student athletes".

Thus, you are allowed to say "we" when it comes to your over zealous homerism of WCHS athletics, but as you are not (nor likely ever shall be) a student at Wake, you are not allowed, under the proper terms of rational fandom, to say "we" about the Demon Deacons or any other team for whom you root.

Gosh we are playing horrid, we don't know how to make free throws or make layups...Jesus...

Grr. why did you have to make it difficult, You are right I am not there....but they are MY favorite team, and my grandparents went there, so in my opinion...I am at liberty to say WE, I have season tickets..I am a true fan, so I will continue to say we

IMO, a true fan of a team has the right to say We, and I will continue to do so regardless of what you say...

For anybody interested, Wake plays Baylor on ESPN2 at 10:30 tonight....they play Baylor for the 76 Classic Chapionship....if Wake is gonna make a statement, this is the time....We(Wake) has to much talent to be beating the likes of UTEP and Cal State Fulerton by 5 and 3 points....Baylor os a gppd tea with great perimiter shooting, Wake will have to lockdown on the 3 or ot could be a long long night, I'm optomisitc but I think my boy's will pul it out..

Wake will not beat UNC....we are the same team as last year, with a little more talent across the board..we night be Duke, but I am not convinced..
