I enjoyed watching some of the Lacrosse games this past week. Congrats to Dook for the championship. Felt a bit bad for the Virgina team. The ACC had at least 3 of the top 5 seeds (Virgina #1, UNC #4, Dook #5 - Dook beat UNC in the quarterfinal match). ACC won men and women's titles, with the Maryland women winning recently also. The ACC continues to win titles in several sports. I know in 2009, UNC won Men's basketball, Women's Field Hockey and Women's soccer. For the record, I think Dook has now won 12 national titles; Maryland 22; UNC 37.

DUKE....National champs in Lacrosse. Duke becomes the second school ever to win Basketball and Lacrosse titles in the same year.

The tarholes did it in 1982.

I missed the original announcement recently, but it looks like the NCAA only expanded the tourney by 3 more teams (65 to 68). That was good news to me. I'm assuming that means a play-in game in each of the 4 Regions.

Duke, 2010 National Champs in Men's basketball.

And likely in 2011 too.

Sigh.  God hates me.

This is Dukes BIGGEST team by far in many many years...and its also thier worst inside, post playing team. They will get dominated by anyone with ONE real shooter from the outside and a half way decent inside presence.
You are killing me!!

Duke has as many, but different problems as UNC and probably won't seriously contend for a National title anytime soon.
Really?

Duke is no doubt better than UNC this year. I guess you was talking about the ACC. We're talking about the NCAA which is what in the end really matters and unfortuately NOBODY in the ACC has a prayer at winning it this year.

Really??

I'd rather talk about how much better UNC has been over the course of the respective programs' histories.

;)  And if you are a fan of one sport, then you surely must be a fan of ALL sports, and as such we should also discuss Lacrosse.

Baseball.

Football.

Soccer.

Field  Hockey.

Track.

C'mon, Bud.  Support your Devils in all sports!
