Regardless of how much we cut back and forth, we all have to admit that it looks good for the ACC to win a championship in what was supposed to be a down year. What I usually say as Anybody But Dook became this year as Anybody But The Big East. Just got tired of hearing about the Big East this season. The Big East underachieved a bit in the tournament. Butler's coach has a long career ahead of him. A single call or play the other way and he could have been celebrating his first Championship at age 33 (?).

Great for the ACC to go back to back and a very good tourney played by the Dookies. Congrats. Props to Butler too they played one heck of a game.

I talked to many Dook fans that expected them to make it no farther that the Sweet Sixteen or Elite 8 at best . I wasn't only referring to people on here.

i didnt see any duke fans on here sayiny we aint gonna make it past the second round, just the carolina fans who were hoping to make the NIT!!!! college basketball isnt down this year just the opposite everyone is getting better, granted i expect UNC to bounce back next year they certainly have the talent, who knows next year maybe they can beat dayton in the NIT !!!!

Hammer If you did turn back the clock you'd still have nobody on the Dook team could guard Lawson. That would be the downfall of them. The big 3 for Dook would lose out to the Lawson,Elllington and Green b/c of Lawson. They could offset Ellington and Green but would have nothing for Lawson. Down low they've got enough big bodies to slow down Hansbrough but with his hussle he'd keep up with them on the boards and in the end Lawson would the difference. Dook would have nothing at all for him. Passion is great but passion can't give you enough quickness to keep him in front of you.

Countryboy Lets be honest, most Dook fans didn't expect to be in the Final Four either much less the title game. Just goes to show how bad college basketball is down this year that Dook and Butler will play for it all. Nothing away from either team they played the hand thats been dealt them and have done a good job to make it.
