I guess living in North Carolina we are ALL lucky to have so many great teams to choose from.. whether you are a State fan,Wake fan,Duke,or a UNC fan it really doesn't matter we each have the same option to cheer for whom ever we wish... although, all fans didn't go to the school they share fandom with... some of us didn't need to go to UNC to cheer for them, or get a six figure salary... trust me p.s. (I have my Montross jersey on today) ...

Local is also right about the difference it makes when you've attended the school. I also went to UNC and you have a different connection to the school than the Walmart fans do. With the way Dook is set up, there is little to no chance that any Dook fan on Gowilkes or Wilkes county for that matter actually attended the school.
