If you are going to compare, it is only fair to compare decade by decade anyway. Nationally, the ACC doesn't seem to get as much credit as it once did, but I think at least one of the reasons is that the league teams beat each other up much more than they used to. I don't think Duke nor UNC shy away from tough out of conference schedules. They both play tough schedules. Frankly, as tough as the seasons are now, I wish the young teams did play a few more cupcakes early on. Would be good for the young guys to get some good chemistry going and gain a bit more confidence heading into the tough league play. Tough games early help some guys, but it hinders some of the more inexperienced players. I think UNC has the makings of a great team for the next few years, but I hated to see them in the top 5 preseaon. It's easier to teach a young team to win when they start their careers as underdogs, not when they have the added pressure of trying to live up to high expectations. When that team develops some offensive chemistry, the other teams will have a hard time chasing them up and down the court. Ty Lawson was the true MVP of the last few UNC teams; he created the entire offense for them. It will just take a while longer for them to learn that they can play without him. All of the talent on UNC's team was just playing high school ball. Hard to impossible to teach speed and size; they have both.

And to be correct Mr.probe..Carolina has more 30 win seasons in the last 10 years versus Duke... We have 4 in the last 5 years, you have 3 in the last 10..Get your facts straight :)

Also, Kanasa edges out Duke in wins with a 229-52 record the last 8 years that l can get from Espn.
