All NCAA D-1 schools, unless in trouble with the NCAA, are entitled to the same number of scholarship athletes. Also, most schools have a walk on or 2 that never see the floor. Duke, UNC, NC State, Wake, etc. pretty much have the same number of scholarship athletes. UNC's , as much as I hate them, are just better right now.
