Mike Krzyzewski moved past Dean Smith into second place on the men's all-time wins list Wednesday night, claiming his 880th career victory with the top-ranked Blue Devils' 108-62 rout of North Carolina-Greensboro.

notice (laguy) i did not say duke university i only mentioned the coach , i know how many titles all the schools have one ,and if you want to go by titles then bill russell is the greatest basketball player ever with 11 titles at boston in stead of michael jordan with 6

If a coach is determined the best by titles,then Wooden would be the best,oops,i forgot,anything that happened 30 or 40 years ago doesn't count here on gowilkes,yes i'm being sarcastic!!!!

At 11 national titles, UCLA holds the record for the most NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Championships; John Wooden coached UCLA to 10 of its 11 titles. The University of Kentucky is second, with 7 national titles, while Indiana University and University of North Carolina are tied for third with 5 national titles, and current champion Duke University ranks fifth, with 4 national titles.

coach K has proved he could be the best coach ever, he probably will pass coach knight up on all time wins within 3 to 4 years ,plus he just won the world cup in international play ,plus he won in the olympics the last time ,something roy williams and his staff could not do in the olympics before that ,and he could repeat as national champions in college basketball this year

Duke looks good having already beat Michigan State and Kansas State, UNC looks a little lost at times but will get better as season goes along, but at this time Duke is a much better team

Frog, I'm afraid Wake will be very poor this season. The recent loss of one of their best men was the last nail in a coffin that was already sealed. The new coach has a ton of question marks, beginning with him.

On paper Duke has the best team this year. I like Carolina's new guys coming in though. Hopefully, Henson has been in the weight room and somebody wants to play pointguard. Barnes will be a machine once the comfortzone kicks in. The scorers and big men will need someone that can consistently get them the ball. I think UNC will defintely be a better scoring team this year. The twins and Davis were big bodies in the post, but frankly all three were constantly out of position. I won't miss them much at all. I'll only miss Ed's shotblocking. I felt he was in the way when he played last year. Bunch of underachievers last year. Hope the new guys are hungry.
