The Plumlees are actually from Warsaw, Indiana.

They simply matriculated at a private HS in Asheville, one to which they were recruited.

Yeah, you can't just make comments based on old truths. Dook definitely has some local players on their team now. I think Dexter Strickland is from New Jersey, so the reverse is now true also. Recruiting wars are a beach nowadays. You get 'em from where you can get 'em. The Dook campus, however, now that has NJ written all over it. Been there many times and never felt like I was still in NC.

Mason and Miles Plumlee are from North Carolina, with their younger brother coming in next year to become the 3 P's. Ryan Kelly is from NC as well, along with Seth Curry. Add in Nolan smith from VA, and thats the main guys on the roster.

Why does Duke never have anyone on their team from North Carolina? Does the Polish dude not recruit in N.C.? I mean NCSU, ASU, ECU, WFU, UNC, etc all have local players on their basketball teams. Duke hasn't had a player from North Carolina on their team in years! What's up with that?

VT definitely blew it by losing to BC on their own Senior Night the game after the Dook win. There's definitely some reason to raise eyebrows after seeing some of those teams in the brackets. Just a couple I noticed right off hand in addition to VT, how does UAB get in and Georgia after Alabama beat them twice with similar numbers? Looks like VT, BC, Alabama, and Colorado are the top seeds in the NIT. I hope to see a lot of upsets to make it a fun Tourney (especially against the 11 Big East teams). I'm a longtime UNC fan, but realistically I see UNC as more of a #4-like seed this season. The #2 seeding is good though because it anchors them in Charlotte for the first couple rounds. Next season, Carolina could definitely be a top 5 kind of team if the guys will all stay together (which I see happening).

No team to me this season seems consistent enough to string together 6 wins if the match ups don't work out perfectly for them. OSU seems most likely, but even they took overtime to beat Northwestern in the Big 10 Tourney. Kansas, Texas, and Pittsburgh have been shaky recently. To me Notre Dame and BYU are one-trick ponies and can be beaten if the trick ain't working. Billy Donovan has done well at Florida this year, but I think they are overrated at a #2 seed. Louisville could be a darkhorse. It'll be fun.

Wow is all I can say about this years NCAA bracket.

Talk about leaving some good teams out, and letting some that don't deserve it in.

I am suprised by anyone who is suprised by expanding the tourny, we don't have more lower conference teams in. Of course expanding it will put more power conference teams in, duh!

I'm glad VT didn't make it, they played their way out IMO, but they deserve to be there over some of the teams that did make it.
