countryboy I dont really know that its a case of showing sportsmanship or sympathy. It's more the fact that when one of the teams are so down it takes alot of the fun out of the rivalry. Where is the fun in giving someone a hard time about their team when you know before they take the court they're going to more than likely lose. I'm a Wolfpack for life and nobody gives me a hard time hardly about my team but not because they're sympathic but b/c whats the point?

What kind of excuse are you expecting us to come on here and post? There is no excuse for this team.

ok here we go i find it funny as **** how all the unc fans have basically dissapeared from this thread, they cant even post an excuse for the heels anymore, the fans who back in december when carolina was what 12 and 3 or so are no where to be found now talking about how they would be beating up on people in march. LMAO!!!! Now to all the duke fans out there , my hat is off to you for not being complete ****s and showing great sportsmanship to the lowley heels fans, even probe99 is sympathetic to the pitiful tarheels.. you no what its a classic case of being rated too high in preseason, and just shows they where ranked on thier name and not much else, wouldnt surprise me if they still make the ncaa tourney just beacause of being carolina!!!!

I can live with that, even though they probably wont go far in the NCAA, im still satisfied.

Well I'll have to admit I looked at the schedule wrong and thought the game was at Maryland when i said that and Maryland's alot better at home. Regardless a good win for Duke.

I'll predict that Maryland wins this weekend.

Yeah It's been one of those years where if it could go wrong it has. I'm like you GT, as much as I hate Dook and love to see them get beat I never want to see their players hurt. I just want them to lose at full strength lol

Well as bad as I hate the tar holes, I thought their season couldn't get any worse. I'm wrong, I heard on the news that Ed Davis will be out the rest of the year with a broke wrist unless carowina somehow makes it to the sweet 16 which I doubt will happen he could return for that. I can't stand carowina but I do hate that they are having alot of problems with injuries. it just makes bad matters worse, but injuries are part of the game. Good luck to Ed and the rest of the tar holes who are injured and I hope they have a speedy recovery and I'm sure all the depressed carowina fans wish the same!

I don't know how far WFU can go this year but I agree they are playing as well as they have in the past 3 or 4 seasons even though they may not be as talented as they were when they had Johnson and Teague.

The biggest reason is because they actually have a good PG. I have criticized Ish for 3 seasons and rightfully so because he was not good at all, but he is having a fine Sr season.

With all that said no ACC team has a shot at the Championship, Duke has the best chance but they are not quite all the way back.

I think the ACC could go 4-2 in the opening round and probably 2-2 at the best in the second round.

yanks,i dont see how you can say that,just because unc cant play this year,dont mean wake,gt,va tech,and duke,the terps,will not go past 2nd round,because i think those teams will,wake has as good a shoot this year as they have had in a while,the are a very good team.

right. i didn't once say they would win in the ncaa. I know that, one is cause of that goofy looking center, zoubek. They are just my team.

lol Struggling but that's gonna happen with any team. Every team has good and bad years. UNC is just not use to it just like Duke. UNC and Duke are use to being good teams thats why everyone hates them so much. I'm not taking anything away from Duke b/c they do have a good team this year but they dont have what it takes to win the whole thing is all i'm saying.

Oh you're right Duke is a good team just not an elite team this year. Duke is solid but they dont have what it takes this year to compete for the NCAA

didn't make no difference last night. no doubt ncaa is important but no matter what duke will always be a good team just like carolina is, but the team is playing poor this year.

Nobody was whining. Duke is no doubt better than UNC this year. I guess you was talking about the ACC. We're talking about the NCAA which is what in the end really matters and unfortuately NOBODY in the ACC has a prayer at winning it this year. Duke may just not be tied for first after this weekend. I'll predict that Maryland wins this weekend. UNC proved that Duke can be slowed down on offense and Maryland has the scoring to take advantage of that.
