Tarcats: I direct you to www.truthaboutduke.com Reading for the intelligent mind.

Bud, I dont' think I ever said anything about Boozer. I merely mentioned his FATHER, who, without credentials, moved to Durham and got a cushy job with Glaxo Smith Kline. My problem with Boozer has nothing to do with him as a PLAYER; frankly speaking, he is the best "classic" power forward in the NBA today ("classic" meaning a back to the basket, inside scoring, rebounding MACHINE...as a PLAYER he is the perfect continuation from the Mailman). However, he is also a liar and a man not of his word; he assured the Cavaliers that if they let him out of his rookie contract (remember, he was a SECOND round pick, and severely underpaid after his first 3 seasons), he would re-sign with them at a great increase from his rookie-contract salary. However, he signed with the JAZZ for more money; it wasn't that he Cavs WOULDN'T have matched that money...owing to NBA contract rules, they COULDN'T MATCH that money. He lied. The Cavs could have kept him for another year at a paltry salary and THEN re-upped with him at a going rate. However, they chose to try and do the right thing. Boozer, however, lied to them. He LIED.

As a player, I admire Boozer in the NBA. As a man? I have no use for him. His word is useless.

And field goal percentage.

Anyone want to talk about rebounds to?

Bud Lt

Talk about Boozer all you want but there's not a single player in the NBA from UNC that ranks ahead of him in PPG's this season.

Hey Grrr,Ithis is the first that I have ever heard about the Duhon or Boozer allegations,do tell more.I HATE DUKE!I will pull for ANYONE against Duke.

BRG, you are a man after my own heart. Yes, it is only cheating if you get caught, and certain coaches are very good at NOT getting caught with sly moves (*cough*Duhon's GED mom and *cough* Boozer's dad getting jobs at Durham companies with ties to Duke for which they were not *cough* qualified). However, if you DO get caught, it is very illegal. Plus, Tommy Amaker isn't a very good coach. He's like D'oh without the snappy suits.

"Tommy Amaker gets the job and uses former teammates to cheat, like he is currently doing at Harvard."

When I read about that, and then read it again. And again..

It's only cheating if you get caught, right?

Was Brey a Navy man with K?

Hey Bud, get out your village people vinyl! atten---huttt!!!

Bud, you are the one missing reality. Yes, Duke had a nice run while Carolina was helmed by two...lesser lights. Now that a quality Head Coach is at the helm, Carolina is once again the dominant party in the Duke-UNC rivalry. It is as it was, as it is, and as it forever shall be. Duke leads this decade 14-8. Duke will never win another decade...

Well, unless Tommy Amaker gets the job and uses former teammates to cheat, like he is currently doing at Harvard. Then, you know, maybe Duke can retain their current position.

(Nice coaching shrub K has there; Amaker has left two programs in ruins and has brought the first NCAA investigation into the Ivy League since the...50's? and Quinn, he of the pretty hair, left Mizzou in shambles and on the brink of ruinous probation. Good times all around. At least Mike Brey is doing good work at Notre Dame)

I think time for excuses were effectively expelled Saturday night.

No excuses necessary.

I suggest Wake, if you must stay in conference, but if you want to venture outside, you can latch onto either Kansas (they hate UNC and Roy...sadly...the interconnection between the two programs is historically strong), Texas (Rick can coach, and man he hates Roy, Dean, et al), or UCLA (a wealth of talent on the West Coast, and Ben Howland seems to be once again channeling the majority of it to Westwood). Duke's days are numbered. Sure, sure, Mike can get skinny 6'5 white kids who like to chuck 3's but...I mean, really. When it comes time to WIN games of substance? That brand of white washing doesn't cut it.

Please note that said decade includes Guthridge (2-6 vs. dook), and Dougherty (2-7 vs. dook).

Sorry bud, but that train has left the station. Excuse me while I LMAO now.

And Grrr is exactly right...welcome to your recruiting nightmare. An appropriate suggestion for you now is to get a new screen name and come back as a "ABC'er"...oh wait, you already are!

I'll take Smith for NOW, unless Ty can take Carolina to the Final Four (something Kenny was never able to do, with notable failures in '84 and '87).

Bud, Duke has won the "decade" against Carolina ONCE previously; this will make twice. If you will notice the trend since Roy came aboard, and the recruiting hauls he has coming in the next two seasons (combined with the return of Danny "Block Party" Green...the Dookies worst nightmare), you will see there IS a trend. It resides on the west side of 15-501. Sorry.

Besides, I thought you were a State fan? Maybe you should start looking into UCLA or Texas.

Carolina is #1, and getting the #1 seed in Charlotte. I know it's hard for you to accept, but deal with it.

Lawson quicker, Smith faster. Smith could take one dribble from the half court line, and dunk.

I'd love to have a time travel machine for this one...

Bravo on the memorabilia.

Yes, Carter could dunk. Lot's of stuff for the highlight reels.

Now, those of you who are more "in the know" than I am (these days).
Ty Lawson vs. Kenny (The Jet) Smith?

Duke leads the series this decade!! I know its hard for you to accept but deal with it!! LOL

For real. I jealously covet my signed basketball by Deano- in his last year of coaching at UNC, along with Carter and Jamison's sig's.

Could Carter dunk or what?
