The tarholes coach Butch Davis said he's not sure how much worse his team could get after it's too-close-for-comfort season opening win against McNeese State. But wide receiver Hakeem Nicks said there's no doubt the Tar Heels can't do better Thursday against Rutgers. I think we reached our max last week against McNeese,so we feel like we've got nothing to prove in this game, come out on national TV and disgrace the ACC.

Davis said the 10-day break was good for his team because they had to sober up and had a lot of improvements to make, and the Tar Heels practice was a joke this week.
