We got 2 plates to go. Waitress was kind enough to make me a salad even though that wasn't her duty. It was really good. Everything was great. I can't understand you people complaining, Food was still hot when my husband got it home even though it's a good 10 miles. Everything was exactly as ordered. Just right! The food had NOT been frozen, I eat seafood quite often & can tell if it's been pre-battered & frozen & this was NOT. Extra thank you to the lady who took our order over the phone & took the time to make me a salad. The salad was full of good stuff, not just a bowl of lettuce. We have no complaints!

Need to teach their employees something about business they act like they are the only Business selling Seafood Go to mikes inland in Boone much better and you won't get ripped off Asked for someone to explain a receipt because I was overcharged and was told to leave obviously I was Right about the bill who throws a overpaying customer out they don't have a worry they won't get another dime from me for the food they are already over charging for. Used to be pretty decent place but has went way down hill better off to eat a fish sandwich from McDonald's.

this place is a dump ate there today sunday dec 20 food was so greasy fish overcooked told thre staff no one was concerned never get another dime from me John boys in elkin is much better than this for a fraction of rhe price

Ignore the haters...yes this place is classic "Old School", but if you search the countryside for the finest skin-on fried flounder in the state, this is your spot. This item is fresh not frozen. You cheap a** Wilkes Co. patrons stay away so I don't have to wait for a table.

Sorry... Inconsistent quality. Inconsistent service. We just can risk another visit and we used to go at least 3 times a month. It really isn't that hard to provide quality food especially when you charge a premium price.

The food is over priced but I don't mind paying more for good food. The food is terrible. My dad got broiled fish and it was cooked to death. Tasted like shoe leather. I got fried oysters and asked for them to be lightly fried and again they were over cooked. This will be our last time eating there. It is a shame that you have to go out of town to get good seafood.

There is no consistency in this place. I had a great experience the first time, but It was dirty last time I went, and they were rude to my wife. I am conflicted as to why it sucked so bad the second time.

Great place to relax and enjoy an excellent meal with friends or family. They are not a fast food restaurant as each order is prepared as it is received. So if in a hurry might want to go else where.

Delicious food. Beat seafood in town. Shrimp cocktail the best! Good service. Nice people.

My fave in the area. The catfish is really good, and the salad bar is great. We had a great waitress, and everyone was friendly. Great place!

I take back my previous thumbs up review...service has went to crap and so has the food. Somebody needs to save this place before it's too late. I don't foresee a return visit in my future.

Terrible customer service! Very unprofessional manager and I'm assuming his wife. We will not be returning ever! Food is over salted and floating in grease! Not the Don's Seafood it use to be! Take your money and go out of town if you want good service and good seafood.

Last visit will be our last. Hostess had now clue what she was doing. Woman behind counter oblivious to what was happening. Little to no organization. Hostess ask who was next, nobody knew. We walked out. Strongly suggest they start using seating list or actually pay attention to what is happening around them.

We got sat down and sat there for 25-30 min. None of the waiters came by or said a thing to us and they waited on Everybody that came in after us. Guess our money wasnt good enough. Told lady that was up front and she didnt care she walked right by us. Want waste anymore of my time going back there!

This place is pretty good. On some nights it can be great, salad bar is good, and the wait is not bad. Don't miss this one.
