i love whoopie pies, especially pumpkin :D but i have never made them before

can any one please tell me how to make a woppie pie? it is like 2 little cakes put together with icing in the middle but i dont know how to make them. (and they aint made with cake mix i dont think) if any one knows please tell me thanks
