CROCK POT CHICKEN

Wash whole chicken and remove all inward parts. Try to remove any visible fat using kitchen scissors. Leave liver, gizzard, etc.

Place in Crock Pot on High. Add about 2 cups water as there will be water cook out of chicken. It will take about 2 hours. Stick with a fork to see if tender,

In separate pot, peel and quarter potatoes, onions, celery and carots. Add water and cook until tender. Just before chicken is done, drain vegetables and add to crock pot. Cook about 1/2 hour longer so vegetables can absorb the flavor of the chicken. Salt and pepper.

Make a big pan of homemade biscuits and serve broth, chicken and vegetables over biscuits while hot....Yum, Yum
