Again, thanks guys. Come to find out, hubby intends to make the same candy just not in patty form. Chocolate coconut balls(?). Our recipe comes out like peppermint patties... All the confusion for nothing I guess lol!

She's making candy, that's why I said a standard cookie sheet should suffice.

Google for Jelly Roll Pan to see pictures and you might want to use the following link to see what you will have to do to substitute another pan. Each size holds a different amount and some will make your sponge cake too thick to effectively handle it.

It's just a wee bit deeper than a standard cookie sheet. You'll be find using a cookie sheet.

Never heard it called a jelly roll pan before..but then again..i dont bake much

I am attempting to make this chocolate candy, native to Maine no doubt. It says in the recipe to "mix well and turn a well buttered jelly roll pan and spread evenly?"What they heck is that kind of pan? Are there specific type ones or is there a pan that will work in place of the actual one.
