I smoked a couple turkey breast on the brinkman smoker last year .... and finished it up with a right out of the deer tenderloin I killed that morning , don't know if it was good or we were just hungry but neither lasted long !!!

For Thanksgiving, either I cook the turkey, or mom cooks a ham. Then we all pitch in and make all of the sides and the desserts. We usually have mac n' cheese, green beans, deviled eggs, mashed potatoes, gravy (if I do a turkey, I always make the dressing and gravy, too) cranberry sauce, sweet potato casserole with pecans, sometimes we have potato salad if the main dish is ham, and we have all kinds of desserts. My aunt makes the BEST red velvet cake! And there is usually a pumpkin pie or two. Sometimes there is a chocolate pie, and I like to keep things interesting and bring a different dessert every time we get together. And we repeat the process at Christmas. If we had ham for T'giving, I make the turkey, gravy and dressing for C'mas.

TURKEY BREAST
MASHED POTATOES
GRAVY
CORN
GREEN BEANS
STUFFING
and some sort of dessert. That is the usual fare, but this year we are going to the in-laws and I was going to make Bayou-Dirty Rice to go with whatever it is the MIL is fixing. I make this on semi-regular occasion and surprisingly it is all ate, even by the kids.
