As to what it is''the poultry form of potted meat best describes it. All are okay by themselves but duckling MUST be prepared with orange sauce -- and for heaven's sake, by itself. An unique taste for those not used to having anything more exotic than a rhode island red rooster...yet good, none-the-less.

Duck is very greasy to cook but the taste is okay nothing great.

Nope. I saw them at the Teeter at Friendly in Greensboro and never got back that way to get one.

I'm not sure where you are planning to order one, but Harris-Teeter used to carry them during the holidays. Best I rmemeber they were around 39-40 dollars.

has anyone ever roasted one? was thinking of ordering one and cooking for christmas figured i would see if any thought they were good or not?
