I make my BBQ in the crockpot too. Cook the boston butt in 1 cup of vinegar, 1 tblsp. salt & 2 tblsp sugar until you can shred it easily. I don't like any fat in my BBQ so I'm pretty meticulous about getting all the fat off. After shredding meat, put back in crockpot and add at least 1 cup of the broth, 1/2 cup ketchup, texas pete, garlic & red pepper to taste. And about 1 tblsp worchestershire sauce. Let it warm & serve with coleslaw on a bun. It's not too vinegary or too tomatoey. It's about half & half and that's just the way we like it. Good stuff!

I also cook a whole frozen chicken in a crockpot. Make chicken and dumplings, soup, stew beef & potatoes, spaghetti, pintos, roast. You name it and you can cook it in a crockpot!

Boston butt = great pulled pork BBQ. Add a little cider vinegar and a little bottled smoke. Best to brown butt before you put it in crock. Cook on low for about 8 hours, shred with fork. Add eastern style sauce and a little bottled sweet baby James. Serve on buns with slaw. Yum I trim some of the fat before cooking to make it less greasy. Enjoy.

Now QQ you have me thinking Country Ham, Home Made Cat heads, with Red Eyed Gravy, eggs and maybe some jellies. Maybe even some Deep Fried chicken and Waffles too.

Beef Stew is always good in a Crock or Deer, that's good.

You could do up some BBQ in your new crock or Home Made Soup!

**** now I am hungry.
