I am currently using Lipton Cold Brew Tea Bags, great tea, no stove, no hot water. I use 4 of the tea bags to a 2 quart pitcher and 3/4 cup of splenda. I will never brew tea again.

Try sun tea, same amount of tea, sugar, water, put in a "GLASS" jar cover, set it out in the morning in direct sun. Needs to be out for 4-5 hours if not more but makes great tea.

I use tetley tea, 4 bags , I bring the water to a boil and then take the pot off from the burner. I add the tea bags and let them steep for about 15 to 20 min. I take the tea bags out and then add 1 1/4 cups sugar. Stir until dissolved. Let the tea water cool somewhat. I then pour the tea mixture into a gallon container and fill it up with cold water.

for a gallon, use 4 family size tea bags and about 1 cup of sugar. Put tea and sugar in a pot on the stove and just as it reaches the boiling point, take off stove and let steep for 10-15 minutes. Pour into a gallon pitcher and fill the remainder with cold water. Filtered water makes much better tea and coffee..

I add the sugar to the water after I turn off the burner then stir it in. After that I add the tea bags for 10 minuites. This method seems to work best for me. (I use 3 and 1/2 cups of sugar or Spenda)

Use Luzianne family size tea bags. Boil about a half pot of water. When it starts boiling, remove from heat. Place 4 tea bags in the hot water for 30 minutes. Place 2 cups of sugar in your gallon size tea container. After 30 minutes pour the hot tea into the sugar and stir til dissolved. Add cold water to the dry pot with the tea bags in it then squeeze the bags into the tea container. Pour cold water in. Add enough cold water to make a gallon. Can also add ice along with water if desired.

You will love this tea!

The trick is not too boil the water with the tea bags..this will make it bitter. I use 4 bags and a pot that holds 3 cups of water. After the water boils, remove from heat and then put in the bags...steep for about 10 mins...put your sugar in the pitcher and add the hot water with the bags still in the pot. Continue to fill the pot with the bags still in it with cold water and pour into your pitcher until full...I only use a cup of sugar. The tea they serve here is too sweet and weak for my tastes...you will just need to adjust to your taste. Good luck!

I make my sweet tea the same as happy also. It is very well liked by all that taste it. I make 2 gallons at a time, that way I don't run out.

It really all depends on how strong and how sweet you like it. My version is the same as happygift's except I use just one cup of sugar. I don't like mine too sweet though. I like to taste the tea more than the sugar.

I use 4 family size tea bags with a pot of cold water. I place the cold water and tea bags on the stove and bring them to just a boil. I then put the liquid in the pitcher with 2 cups of sugar and fill it up with more cold water and ice to make a gallon. My son loves my tea, I have to make him a gallon at least every other day.

How do you make sweet tea? I can never get the right number of tea bags and sugar ratio correct. I have family size tea bags and a 1 gallon pitcher. Thanks
