You can substitute chicken breast for the sausage for a lower fat meal. Also you can add chunk pineapple to both recipes.It add a wonderfull tropical flavor.I keep some of the S&S sauce in the frig to add to lots of dishes.

Sweet N Sour Polish Sausage 2-lbs smoked polish sausage (cut into chunks) 3 jalapeno peppers (sliced thin or minced) 1 green pepper (cut into small bite size chunks) 1 large onion,sliced thin 2 tbs tabasco sauce 10 oz of sweet- n- sour sauce (recipe below) Aluminum foil Place sausage,peppers and onions in aluminum foil. Mix sauces,pour over sausage mix. Wrap twice in foil and seal edges. Grill 45 minutes,turning every 15 minutes. Or cook in a heavy fry pan, cook vegtables in small amount oil,over med heat for 5to 10 minutes, add sausage and sauce. Cook 5 to 10 more minutes and serve with rice Sweet -and- Sour Sauce 2 Tbsp. unsalted butter 1/2 red bell pepper, cored, seeded, and cut fine 1 large garlic clove, minced or pressed through a garlic press 1/2 C. red wine vinegar 1/4 C. honey 1/2 C. sugar 1 tsp. salt 1 tbp. red pepper flakes Melt the butter in a small, heavy bottomed saucepan over medium-high heat. Add the bell pepper and garlic, and sauté until tender, about 1 ½ minutes. Stir in the vinegar, honey, sugar, salt, and red pepper flakes and simmer until the bell pepper is very soft, about 15 minutes. Transfer the mixture to a food processor or blender and process until smooth, about 10 seconds. The sauce may be served warm or at room temperature.
