granny ,I have used this recipe so many times since you first posted it , I have even modified it to use with canned mandrin oranges-just changed the jello flavor and used regular pre baked crust instead of deep dish, I have also used it for stawberry-rhubarb pie just cooked the rhubarb with the jello mixture then added to strawberries THANK-YOU FOR A LIFE LONG RECIPE.

I posted this last year and so many people liked it, I thought I would post it again since there are fresh strawberries for sale everywhere.

Bake a deep dish pie shell and let cool. Fill almost full with fresh sliced strawberries.

Mix 1 small package of strawberry jello, 1/2 cup sugar and 1 tablespoon of cornstarch. Mix really well to get out all of the lumps. Add this to 1 cup of 7-up in a pot and bring to a slow boil over medium heat. Pour over strawberries in pie shell.

I let this sit on the counter for a few minutes to cool and then put in the refrigerator to jell. Serve with cool whip.
