Walmart has a 7lb can of B&M brand baked beans for 4.99.

Anyone know if these are any good?

I'm doing a large batch for a reunion.

Any brand of pork n' beans. I add diced onions, yellow mustard, white vinegar,

Worcestershire (sp?) sauce, and brown sugar. Top with 3 strips of brown sugar flavored bacon and zap it in the microwave.

Bob's Baked Beans(Recipe from Bob Poe,Dallas Texas.A great cook and friend)
This is really tasty.

1 cup molasses
1 cup BBQ sauce.Homemade is best
1 tablespoon Yellow mustard
1 tablespoon Brown mustard
1 chopped onion
5 slices cooked bacon, crumbled. Used as topping.
1 (16-ounce) can french-fried onion,
You can crust them lightly if you wish (devided)
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
salt and pepper to taste
Preheat oven to 350 ºF.
In a large bowl mix all the ingredients and a third of the french-fried onions except bacon..
Add some salt and pepper, to taste.
Pour bean mixture in a 9 by 13-inch casserole dish and sprinkle remaining crushed french-fried onions and bacon on top.
Cook in oven for one hour or until beans are brown and bubble.

Everyone loves my baked beans and they are a big hit at cookouts and family reunions.

Amount of ingredient varies for what size dish you want to make.

I use pork and beans and brown sugar mix together in a baking dish.

Sautee chopped onions and green peppers and add to beans and brown sugar mixture.

This step really makes a big difference. Brown some ground beef, drain and add to dish.

The place a few bacon stips on top and bake for around 30 minutes or until bacon is cooked.

VERY TASTY baked beans and something a little different than plain veggies. Goes good as a side for bbq chicken.

Godess's recipe, much like my own, just needs two additions for the perfect baked beans: 1 tbsp worchestershire sauce and 1/2 cup tomato catsup.

here's what I do....

large can of pork and beans

brown sugar cup or so...

1 sliced onion or finely chopped

about a tablespoon of spicy brown mustard

bacon...gotta have some bacon in it.

I take enough bacon strips to cover the beans in whatever size baking pan...generally a square baking pan

bake at 350 degrees till bacon is crisp...
