When you are boiling shrimp and they float to the top of the pot, remove them. They are done at this time. I use old bay seasoning and garlic salt. Put it in the water before it starts to boil.

has anyone ate the cold boiled shrimp at the place in Elkin where they have all you can eat on Mon and Tues, I can't remember the name of the restaurant, I just wondered how they boil their shrimp and how long they cook it?

I like to get the A1 Cajun Marinate(New Orleans) and put the shrimp in that and cook them on the grill. Nice kick with great flavor.

i skewer my shrimp on wooden skewers that have been soaked in water. then marinate in a mixture of italian dressing, melted margarine and extra garlic either minced or powder. then grill

My two favorites are... 1) Marinate in olive oil with old bay seafood seasoning mixed in. 2) Marinate in Kikkoman teriyaki marinade and "basting" sauce. This is much thicker than regular teriyaki sauce. Put some in a small dish for dipping after it's grilled. Then stick the shrimp onto bamboo skewers that have been soaked in water and grill away!
