put all these veggies in it... (ADD OIL) ...potatoes (red), celery, onions, carrots, cabbage, green beans, peas, corn, tomatoes, and tomatoe juice. cook all veggies, in plenty of water let water boil down....DON'T PUT TOMATOE JUICE AND WHITE RICE IN TILL DONE. ADD SHRIMP and texas pete...don't get carried away with the texas pete. WHEN YOU ADD CRAB MEAT, POLISH SAUSAGE, SHRIMP AND CHICKEN TO IT THEN IT'S CALLED JAMBALAYA. ENJOY.

First thing is you have to make a good rue. In pan take equal parts of oil and flour cook in pan over meduium heat till a brick color forms and nutty smell. Quickly remove from heat and allow to cool. Next in a crock pot take vegtables you like (corn, green beans, potatoes, carrots, etc) put in pot with rue, and a can of rotel medium(crushed tomatoes with chilies) and add water 2/3 way. after about 2 hours on high take a pound of cooked salad shrimp and 1/2 cup of rice, and 1/4 cup of texas pete add to pot cook for 1.5 more hours. If it sounds to spicy leave out texas pete. enjoy
