P-NUT Delight EASY AND WONDERFUL NO BAKE COOKIES 2 cups white sugar 4 teaspoons cocoa 1/2 cup milk 1 stick butter 2 tablespoons peanut butter (I like crunchy) 1 teaspoon vanilla 3 3/4 cup quick oats 1 cup coconut (optional) In a medium size saucepan combine sugar, cocoa, milk and one stick of butter. It's best for butter to be at room temperature. Melt butter at medium heat and stir all ingredients together. Continue to stir until all ingredients come to a boil. Once boiling, remove from heat and allow to stand for one minute. Add vanilla and peanut butter and mix well. Stir in oats and coconut. Put a large sheet of aluminum foil or wax paper out on the counter and place little scoops of your new treat on it. Serve while still warm or at room temperature. Enjoy!

My Mom worked in the lunch room in a wilkes county school and they made everything they cooked. But that was a few years ago,but I got some good recipes .Peanut butter cookies ,soup and we had real veggies then.
The soup recipe I posted is a version of that recipe just made easer to cook with a crock pot and was cut back from a large 5 gallon recipe.

Wow! I must be old. The soup we had didn't come out of a Campbells can. I have never tasted a canned soup like that.

My aunt gave me the recipe years ago, but I lost it. I do remember it had evaporated milk, peanut butter and sugar. I can't remember the rest. It sure does taste like just peanut butter and sugar. Yummy.

Someone once told me that Peanut Butter Squares were literally 50% peanut butter and 50% sugar. I haven't tried making them yet, though.

I would love to know the recipe for the school's vegetable beef soup. I used to love this with a cheese sandwich.
Another one I would love to have is the peanut butter delight they used to have. It was squares of peanut butter.
