I like the brown rice but the Italian sausage I just can't eat.I don't loike fennel and that is all ,I can taste in Ita Sausage.So I use regular kind only hot.

I make something like this only I had basmati rice and use sweet Italian sausage links which I slice. It's such a filling and delicious meal!

I slice my peppers from top to bottom into 2 halves .I just like them better that way.Then you can sprinkle cheese on the in the last 10 minutes and it will brown a little soooo good.

I've been thinking about stuffed green peppers all week Bushman...thanks...this is on the menu this weekend...along with grannynanny's strawberry pie!!!

Sausage-Stuffed Green Peppers 1 T vegetable oil 1 lb. Hot pork sausage 1 medium onion, chopped 1 small can sliced Mushrooms 1 clove Garlic, chopped 1 t dried oregano leaves, crushed 1 c shredded mozzarella cheese 4 medium green peppers, seeded and cut in half lengthwise 2 c Tomato Sauce with Onions ans Garlic Heat oven 400°F. Heat oil in 10-in skillet over medium-high heat. Add sausage and cook til it's well browned, stirring often to separate meat. Pour off any fat. Add onion,garlic,mushrooms and oregano and cook till onion is tender. Stir in cheese. Arrange peppers in 3-qt shallow baking dish. Spoon sausage mixture into peppers. Pour sauce over filled peppers. Cover baking dish. Bake 40 mins til peppers are tender.
