I got this recipe last week out of an old Homestyle cooking magazine. I fixed it tonight and it was so super easy and good I had to share it!

San Marco Steak

1-2 lbs round or sirloin steaks
1 envelope onion soup mix
1 16oz can diced stewed tomatoes
1 tsp oregano
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp black pepper
2 T vegetable oil
2 T wine vinegar

Place steaks in large frying pan. Sprinkle with soup mix. Top with tomatoes and sprinkle remaining ingredients over all and slightly stir.Cover & simmer for 1 1/2 hours. No need to brown the meat first. Ours turned out fork tender, no need for a knife!
