Fruity Pebbles? YUM!! I never thought of that.
I always use the recipe on the box of Kellogs Rice Krispies. It's the best.
I've also made them with the puffed rice cereal. I'm not sure if you can stil buy that.

LJ, i use the recipe that is on the box of rice krispies. The butter I use is just the tub kind of margarine. They are SO good! :)

Cheerios Treats 3 T. butter melted 10 1/2 oz. pkg. miniature marshmallows 1/2 C. peanut butter 5 C. Cheerios 1 C. M&M's
Grease 9x13 pan. Melt butter in large pan. Stir in marshmallows and peanut butter. Stir until melted and smooth. Remove from heat. Immediately stir in Cheerios and M&M's. Mix lightly until well coated. Press mixture into prepared pan. Cool, cut and serve.

There are several ways to do rice crispy treats, personally, I like it with cinnamon.
Take a large bag of small marshmellows and add 1/4 cup of butter or margarine. Melt in a pot on the stovetop. In a medium to large mixing bowl, put 7 cups of rice crispy cereal.
Once melted, pour melted marshmellows and butter into cereal and mix well. Pour into a buttered or sprayed 9 x 13 baking pan.
You can also add about 2 tsp cinnamon, or about 2/3 cup peanut butter, or even about 2/3 cup chocolate chips.
