Baby Back Ribs 4 lb Pork backribs 2/3 cup Yellow mustard 1/3 cup Coca Cola 1 tablespoon garlic powder 2 teaspoons seasoned salt 1 teaspoons poultry seasoning 1 teaspoon paprika 1 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon pepper 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper 1/4 teaspoon basil (Barbecue sauce ) see below Peel the membrane off the back of the ribs. Mix the wet and dry ingredients together. Rub onto the ribs. Cover or wrap with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight. Prepare the grill for the indirect method of cooking. Put ribs on grid or in a rib rack. Cook at 275 º for three hours and fifteen minutes. Mop on bbq sauce after ribs are taken out of the grill. *** (You can wrap in foil and add Coke and Apple juice in the foil pouch and bake at 275º for 3 1/2 hours, then add sauce and broil for 1 or 2 minutes) Serve.
Bar B Que Sauce 2 tablespoons vegetable oil 3 celery ribs, finely chopped 1 red bell pepper, seeded and finely chopped 1 green bell pepper, seeded and finely chopped 1 onion, finely chopped 4 cups coarsely chopped ripe tomatoes or tomato ketchup 11/2 cups firmly packed dark brown sugar 1/2 cup prepared yellow mustard 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice 2 tablespoons garlic powder 2 tablespoons ground ginger 1/2 teaspoon chili powder 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper 1 teaspoon salt In a large saucepan, heat the oil over medium heat. Add the celery, bell peppers, and onion and cook until the vegetables are slightly softened, 3 to 4 minutes. Add the tomatoes and brown sugar, reduce the heat, and simmer, stirring occasionally, until the sugar is completely dissolved. Add the remaining ingredients. Cover and cook over low heat for 1 hour, stirring occasionally. Check the seasonings, adding more salt if needed. Let cool, store in an airtight container, and place in the refrigerator. It will last for months.
Old Fashioned Rub 1 tablespoon garlic powder 2 teaspoons seasoned salt 1 teaspoons poultry seasoning 1 teaspoon paprika 1 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon pepper 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper 1/4 teaspoon basil Combine all ingredients and store in an air tight container.
