1 box = 1 lb (3-1/2 to 3-3/4 cups, depending on how fine. There is starch added to powdered sugar to keep it from lumping.)

Thanks Candymaker. No casket, I needed to know how much powdered sugar came in a box of powdered sugar. I bought a large bag but the recipe called for a box of powdered sugar. Sorry for the confusion and yes, now I need a swig. Off to make peanut butter balls....

I've only saw one size box of the powdered sugar before in the supermarket. It's the same size as the brown sugar box.
