I am including fudge sauce receipe with my addition to the September receipes. It works well on the punch cake.
Chocolate Syrup Brownies 1 C Sugar 1/2 C butter or margarine, softened at room temp 4 eggs 1 16 oz can chocolate syrup (or chocolate flavored) 1-1/4 C all-purpose flour 1 C chopped walnuts or pecans Chocolate Glaze
In mixing bowl cream together sugar and softened butter or margarine till light and fluffy. Add eggs; beat well. Stir in chocolate syrup and flour until blended (batter will look curdled). Stir in chopped nuts. Pour mixture into greased 13x9x2-inch baking pan. Bake at 350 deg. for 30 to 35 minutes. Cool slightly; top with chocolate glaze. Cool; cut into bars. Yield: 32 brownies.
Chocolate Glaze: Combine 2/3 C sugar, 3 Tbsp condensed milk, 1-1/2 Tsp vanilla, and 3 Tbsp butter or margarine. Bring to a boil; boil for 30 seconds. Remove from heat; stir in 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate pieces until melted (mixture will be thin). Immediately pour atop brownies. If mixture is thicker than you like then thin with condensed milk.

Yenjifer's cake is good. Further, my boys always liked this with fudge sauce. They called it punch cake.
Instead of the Jello, I used a thin boiled chocolate sauce and poured it over the cake after I had punched holes through the bottom of the cake. The chocolate would run into the holes and whatever was left was spread on top (really, the bottom of the cake).

A good cake recipe is
1 white cake, prepared as directed on box.
Turn cake out of the pan, making sure that it is not sticking. Put cake back into the pan, upside down. Poke holes in the cake with a fork.
Bring 2/3 cup of water to a boil and add a box of any kind of jello ( I like lemon, lime, or strawberry). After the jello is dissolved, pour over the cake in the pan. Make sure to pour slowly, you may not need all of the jello mixture. Dont let the cake get too soggy.
Freeze cake for about 2 hours. Then turn cake out onto a plate and frost with cool whip. Refridgerate until needed.
