They do taste a little different. But not much. Maybe a little sweeter. The one I got was actually white on the inside. Some are orange.

I had wondered about the white pumpkins. Do they taste different?

I have heard it does, but I haven't tried it yet. I will this year though. You can evidently freeze the puree or boil it and freeze it that way. I just made some pies out of a white pumpkin and I am going to freeze some of that. It was really good.

I just fixed my 1st "raw" pumpkin. The easiet way is to cut the pumpkin in half. Scoop out the stringy seeds. Place it bottom side up on a baking sheet and bake till tender. You can spray the edges with butter or cooking spray. With a spoon, scoop out the inside and place in a blender or food processor and puree.

I've always used can pumpkin, but would like to try fixing my own pumpkin puree. How do i fix a raw pumpkin?
