Pound Cakes

If both you and your friend had these cakes to fall, I'd find another recipe. But, you might also be creaming your butter, sugar and eggs too long. I know this will cause a cake to have a "sad streak".

also make sure your baking soda powder , soda and flour are not out of date. I made a couple of pound cakes and they both fell. I looked and my baking soda was out of date.

Make sure your butter, eggs and milk are at room temperture. Always use plain flour - be sure to use your baking soda, powder and salt. Make sure your pan is well greased and floured. Cream butter and sugar till creamy and yellow. Then, when it is time to add your flour, DO NOT OVER BEAT. Gently insert a knife to test for doneness and very gently remove from oven. Allow your cake to rest in the cake pan for 15-20 mins before removing. Let me know if this works. Good Luck!

I have a pound cake recipe, and EVERY time I have fixed it (as well as my friend tried it), it fell! What can I add to it or do differently that would make it not fall?
