I prefer not to use pickles in my potato salad. I don't measure anything, but I always use red potatotes, red onion, green pepper, diced hard-boiled eggs, salt, pepper, celery seed, lots of mayo (JFG is my preferred brand), and a little mustard.

I've never eaten or made potato salad with pickles in it. Sounds good, though.

Sweet pickles most def... Any brand makes it taste the same. But home made sweet pickles are the number one best.

I use Mt Olive bread and butter pickles, sometimes I buy the bread and butter pickles with jalopenos (sp?) in them

@whitehawk - Not sure of the brand, I THINK they are Mt.Olive. I buy them at Wal-Mart in Elkin.
