I love the "one cup, one stick" cobbler recipe, that's the ONE I use too!

Sometimes I use brown sugar instead of white, or mix them.

Oops, I forgot to mention that you will need to add a stick of butter and a cup of milk. Put stick of butter in 8x8 pan, place in oven to melt, mix together milk, sugar and flour. Remove pan with melted butter from oven. Sprinkle fruit of choice in pan. Pour mixture over fruit, place back into oven and bake 25-30 mins.

Hey Bushman, we use this recipe for most of our cobblers. Just replace fruit c*cktail with your choice of fresh fruit. We prefer peaches and when avaialbe, blackberries.

Cuppa Cuppa Cuppa
1 cup fruit c*cktail, with the liquid
1 cup sugar
1 cup flour (I use self-rising)
Mix together and pour into greased 9” square or round cake pan. Bake at 350 degrees about 30 minutes, or until golden. Serve plain or topped with vanilla ice cream.

When I saw this listing, a chill ran up my spine. Back in the 70's a patient gave my Mom this recipe. Like all good Southern women, she in turn shared it with my Grandmothers, Aunts, and neighbors. So, needless to say, whenever there was a family get together there were at least two of these cakes in attendance. By the time the fad had worn off I was so sick of seeing these cakes and hoped I would never see another one. But, guess what, here it is, resurrected from my childhood.

1 Box of Yellow Cake Mix
2 Cans of Eagle Brand Milk
1 Can of Thawed Pina Colada Mix (I buy the frozen concentrated mix in the frozen juice section)
1 Large Container of Cool Whip
1 Package of Frozen Coconut Thawed

Bake yellow cake according to directions on the box. After cake is done let cool for about 20 mins. Then poke holes all over the cake with a fork, do not be afraid to over do the holes. Open both cans of Eagle Brand milk and pina colada mix. Cover and let stand until room temperature. Then refridgerate over night to allow the cake to soak up all the liquids. The next day apply Cool Whip and top with Coconut..
