I remember Musten & Crutchfields! Is there a closer place to buy that?

I hear ya scrawlspace! BYW, there's a little store on Main St. down in Kernersville called Musten & Crutchfields that makes THE BEST pimento cheese! They used to deliver it to Lowe's Foods and sold it in the Deli. Oh Lord, now I've made myself hungry and will have to have a grilled p.c. for breakfast!

PAULA DEEN'S RECIPE FOR PIMENTO CHEESE

1 (8 oz) shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1 (8 oz) package shredded white cheddar cheese
1 (4 oz) jar of pimientos, with juice chopped
1/2 cup mayonnaise
salt & pepper

1. Mix the shredded cheese together with pimientos. Stir in the mayoonnaise.
2. With a metal spoon (pimientos will stain plastic or wood) , stir until the mixture is well blended.

If you want hot pimento add 1-2 jalapenos if canned, 1 if fresh.

2 to 3 tablespoons pimentos, smashed
1 teaspoon grated onion
Cracked black pepper

Using an electric mixer, beat cream cheese until smooth and fluffy. Add all the remaining ingredients and beat until well blended. Use as a dip or as a sandwich filling.

This is great on meats and veggies.

Pimento cheese recipes are like opinions; everybody has one, but some are better than others.

Foothills sells excellent meat, produce, and other items. A good place to buy meat. They also sell Foothill ham and cheese.

Do they sell it anywhere else? I have family that lives away from here and they always make runs to Foothills to get livermush. They think it is the best as well. Thanks for the info.

You're right about the livermush at Foothills...it's made in Mooresville, actually, but they sell it at Foothills.

Combs has good pimento cheese. Across the river in Arlington, Foothills Meat Mkt. has the BEST homemade livermush I have ever tasted! My family can't stomach Neece's anymore. Fried crisp with a homegrown tomato on Merita bread with Duke's mayo....omg! Honey HUSH!

I'm looking for a good Pimento Cheese recipe. I need to make some Pimento Cheese sandwiches this weekend and don't want to use store bought Pimento Cheese.
