a peach cobbler would be real good right now if i can get some of those georgia peaches from hawk's produce in elkin....yummy....gosh they were delicious....

Large Cobbler dish
About 2 lbs peaches or berries
2/3 cup sugar
1 tablespoon corn starch
Mix well in dish
Dot with margarine
Biscuit dough on top
Sprinkle a little sugar on dough
Bake at 400 about 30 minutes until dough is done in center of cobbler

yummy....i put sugar and pure vanilla extract in with the peaches and then spoon it in the batter.

I also like to add 1 tsp of vanilla flavoring to that recipe

This is the easiest recipe. 1 C self rising flour 1 stick margarine 1 C sugar (I use less) 1 C milk 1 large can of peaches Melt margarine in 9x13 pan. Mix flour, sugar & milk and pour in pan. Add peaches (including juice). It will make it's own crust and rise to the top. 400 degrees for about 30 -35 min. Ovens vary so you may need yours higher or lower and cooked a little longer.

Wish I had paid more attention in the kitchen with my mom growing up!! Does anyone have a great recipe for peach cobbler. Don't know why but I have been craving this for some time now.
