Try instant Potato flakes for breading .It's a tasty alternative to bread crumbs.

Thank you all so much. I will be heading to Lowes today. Hello, deep fried Zucchini. Yummy!

I bought some today at Lowes (Progresso Brand - 16 oz., $2.49/box) and found them where the specialty flours, grains, etc., are located. Anyway, near the packaged baking nuts, cereals, etc.
They are really helpful there and will locate them for you if you ask.

I can't remember what aisle they're on---either with the regular breading mixes & breadcrumbs or on the aisle with the asian foods.

I've found them at Lowe's Foods on 421. They didn't used to carry them, but they do now.

Thanks Bushman. I have been looking for these for months. I had deep fried Zucchini that was coated with Panko bread crumbs and it was WONDERFUL!

Where can you find these? I have been to every grocery store in Wilkes County. Even the manger thinks I made these up. He has never heard of them.
