Dressing

1 onion, chopped
2-3 celery stalks, chopped
1 can of chicken broth
1 lg. pkg. stuffing mix
1 egg
pepper
sage
milk

Cook onion and celery in water until tender; drain. Put stuffing mix in a large bowl and mix with egg and enough milk to make it wet. Add broth sage and pepper to taste. Add onions and celery. Mix well. Pour into a 13X9 baking pan and bake @ 350` for 30 minutes or until done. Cut into squares to serve. Enjoy!

I was just wondering if it would be ok to use chicken broth and just leave out the giblets, and cook it stove top and then brown it a bit in the oven? I am a first time stuffing fixer and I want it to be good but i'm not making the turkey.

giblets out of the turkey
1-2 onions
1=2 celery sticks
1 bag of pertidge farm dressing seasons not the cornbread
broth from the turkey
sage
salt and pepper

cook the giblets in boiling water until done and chop up real fine
chop the onions and cerely and add to dressing crumbs. add giblets stir well. drain broth off of turkey and add to dressing. stir well. add sage to taste and salt and pepper also. spread in baking dish or put inside of turkey bake until done.

i know it sounds awful but it is really good eating with the turkey. this is my grandmothers recipe and my mothers. i loved it as a child and now my whole family eats it. even my kids. but don't add to much sage or you will make it too hot.
