You may want to consider purchasing a spiral sliced ham and consider using the glaze mix and recipe that comes with it. I like to baste the ham with the heavy syrup from a large can of peaches or apricots. This really gives it a special taste that, in fact, does not taste like either fruit but enhances the natural sweetness of the ham.

I pour a can of Dr. Pepper on my ham after it has cooked out some of it's own juices...then open the foil and baste it every 10-15minutes...this gives it a really nice flavor...and the sugar will help with glazing the outside of the ham...mm...mm....good!

Fixing a ham is easy! Just put it in the oven, cover with foil, and bake according to the package instructions! If you want, you can pat it with some brown sugar. Some of the pre-packaged hams (in the foil packaging) come with brown sugar packets. But hams are so easy.

I am preparing a family dinner Tuesday night and want to fix a ham. I have seen family members throughout m life fix them but never really new the recipes. Any suggestions?
