Jello Punch

1 large can pineapple juice
1 regular size Jello (the flavor of jello determines the color--I like lime)
1 1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup lemon juice
1 large can of crushed pineapple with juice
1 bottle of giner ale

Dissolve jello and sugar in about 2 cups of boiling hot water. Stir until dissolved. Add pineapple juice, lemon juice, and canned pineapple. Mix well. Add enough cold water to make one gallon. Freeze.

Take punch out of freezer several hours before ready to use. Put in large container and mash or chop. Add ginere ale just before serving. Makes a very good icy, slushy type of punch.

Make this several days before needing it so that it can freeze hard.

I have used strawberry and cherry jello before.

My grandmother used to make the Fizzy Citrus Punch that Whitehawk posted and it was so good. Here is another one that she used to make

Prepare lime koolaid as per directions to make 2 quarts
2 quarts pineapple juice
2 liters gingerale

Mix the first 2 ingredients together. If you have a punch bowl, it's easier to use it. Add a lot of ice to mixture. Right before you serve the punch, pour the 2 liters of gingerale over the juice mixture.

You can also add lime sherbert to this recipe instead of the ice. Just make sure the lime koolaid and pineapple juice have been chilled.

Thanks Whitehawk for the Wassail recipe, have been wanting a good one.

well, something happened--here's the mixing/prep directions for the wassail punch:

1. Add water to large pot and bring to boil

2. Steep tea bags for 6 minutes and then remove tea bags

3. Add orange juice, cranberry juice, cider, and sugar. Bring to a boil. Stir to dissolve sugar.

4. Reduce from boil to simmer.

5. Stick cloves into the orange and drop into the pot along with the cinnamon sticks and the red hot candy.

6. Simmer for 30 minutes. Stir occasionally.

Serve hot.
