Thanks, I am going to try a couple this week-end. I have everything but the peaches. Will go out tomorrow. I will let you know how we do. It sounds delish.

It's one cup per pie but you can put as much as your shell will hold. I also have a friend who mixes her fruit with the cream cheese/coolwhip mixture instead. She also doesn't make the last step but I think that is what makes the pie so good.

Grannynanny, do you put 1 cup peaches over cool whip mixture in each shell or is that for both pies?

Just like Smuckers, with a name like GrannyNanny, it's gotta be good!
Never met a granny that couldn't make a great pie.

If you will notice I used the word favorite three times so no augus10, I won't hold it against you if you eat both of the pies. I made another strawberry pie yesterday and ate three pieces before I went to bed.

I have only used fresh fruit with these recipes. You could try canned fruit but I don't know how it would work. I would also adjust the sugar to taste.

You can use strawberries, blueberries or peaches but peaches are my favorite with this one.
This makes two pies....One for you and one to give to a friend.
Bake and cool two deep dish pie shells. You can use graham cracker but I think it's to sweet.
Mix 8 oz. cream cheese, 1 cup powered sugar, 2 cups of coolwhip and 1 teaspoon of vanilla. Divide and put into pie shells.
Top this with one cup of fresh fruit. Again, peaches are my favorite.
Mix 2 tablespoons of cornstarch with 1/2 cup of sugar, add to 1 cup of chopped fruit and cook until thick. Pour over the fruit in pie shell. I double this part because it's my favorite.
